Scope and Contents

The Physical Plant at Eastern Michigan University is responsible for the maintenance of the physical environment on EMU's campus. The records include materials relating to the administration and activities of the Physical Plant Division, and are generally dated from 1938 to 2012, with the bulk of the records dated between 1990 and 2012.

The Physical Plant records have been divided into the series Facilities and Building Maintenance, which includes administrative records, as well as a subseries of Status Reports by the Physical Plant Chief of Operations. Additionally, the record collection includes non-administrative materials, such as photographs, clippings, news releases, newsletters, and brochures and forms.
