The Graduate Research Fair collection documents the annual Graduate Research Fair held at Eastern Michigan University, a showcase of graduate student work. Materials are arranged into two series  Administrative Files includes general files, correspondence, and clippings;   General Materials is arranged chronological and includes programs, invitations, and the Week of Excellence newsletter.

Historical Note

The Graduate Research Fair is an annual event that began in 1998. The event highlights outstanding research and creative projects by Eastern Michigan University graduate students. All current and recently graduated students are welcome to participate. The students have presentations or poster/display sessions that include: dissertation research, thesis research, independent study projects, capstone experiences or special projects, examples of art, music and theatrical performances, and outcomes from a practicum and internship experiences.

Scope and Contents note

The collection of Graduate Research Fair records contain clippings, programs, and invitations of the Graduate Research Fair at Eastern Michigan University. Records span from 1998 until 2011. The collection is arranged into two series:  Administrative Files and  General Materials.

The Administrative Files series consists of abstracts, correspondence, clippings, certificates, and general files. The  General Files series includes programs, invitations, and “Week of Excellence” newsletter.
