The College of Arts and Sciences provides advising to students in General Education as well as in the areas of their major and minor programs. The College of arts and Sciences incorporates disciplines categorized by the Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Social Sciences, Humanities and Fine and Performing Arts and offers more than 125 programs of study. The  College of Arts and Sciences records include materials regarding the history, operations and functions of the CAS from approximately 1968 to 2011.

Scope and Contents

The College of Arts and Sciences records include materials regarding the history, operations and functions of the CAS from approximately 1968 to 2011.

The College of Arts and Sciences records have been divided into five series:  Administration and history,  Curriculum,  Events and Communications,  Advisory Council, and  Council on Instruction.

The Administration and History series includes materials pertaining to the operations of the College of Arts and Sciences, and includes two subseries: Committee Reports and Proposals and Academic Department Administrators. The Curriculum series includes program descriptions and proposals. Events and Communications includes clippings, news releases, newsletters, and materials regarding the Honors Celebrations. Finally, the Advisory Council and Council on Instruction series include meeting minutes and have been arranged chronologically.
